Wait until Eric narrates his action in the game thread, but there's nothing preventing you making any rolls you need now so you're ready to narrate when it comes up.

No, the bear has to roll!
(The color refuses to co-operate, so imagine the following is brown)
If you cause the light to burst directly in front of a single creature, that creature is dazzled for 1 minute unless it makes a successful Fortitude save.

Right, I see what's happened. I assumed Eric's roll above was an attack roll, I now see it wasn't. I need to get some differentiation on dice, clearly. My bad.
Eric, that attack hits. Narrate as appropriate.

Re: How do we do this?
Out of curiosity, how would people feel about me taking their combat actions for them if there's a delay? This isn't having a go at Eric, it's simply that that made me think of it.
Re: How do we do this?
I think that the "As long as you ask first"-rule seem appropriate here, although possibly in reverse.

I'm alright with this, I'll be aiming to do subdual with the flat end/the handle of the sword to Ms. Oro (Bear in non-DM amazing Spanish)

Re: How do we do this?
I'd originally stated I'd bypass people's turns if there was a delay (my gut was around the 48 hours mark, but game timing is still to be determined.) This seems a better option - I'll roll if I can easily see what they are planning on doing, skip if I can't.
Re: How do we do this?
I think 24 hours is fair in a combat situation, seeing that it actually ties people up in a locked state. Not saying my words are final, but a day seems to be more than enough time to log on to either a phone or computer in most situations and for those situations lasting longer maybe one shouldn't be involved in whatever may be going on.

Re: How do we do this?
A day from their last post or from the last post?
For example. Bob posts at midday. Other players take their turns, eventually the player before Bob posts at midnight.
Does Bob have 24 hours from his last post (until midday the next day) or 24 hours from when it became his turn to post (until midnight the next day).
The second seems fairer to me, the first is quicker.

Re: How do we do this?
Also, what about instead of "Me try to guess" we put in a default option. Maybe go full defense if in (direct) combat, skip if not.
Re: How do we do this?
I think 24 hours from when it's Bob's turn to make his combat action is more fair, 24 hours from his last post could result in Jane taking 4 hours, John taking 5 hours, Geoffrey taking 8 hours and Jenny taking 7 hours, landing him at 3 hours to reply, which may be during his sleep time.

Definitely the second option.
Maybe each person can state their "standard" action when combat starts?

Re: How do we do this?
Cool. We'll start that from next combat. The rule will be:
In combat, you have 24 hours to make your post when it is your turn. If you don't meet that, I'll make a post on your behalf. If you've let me know what you intend to do, then I'll do that for you if it's possible. If you haven't or the situation has changed so much I can't work out what you would do (say, for example, the enemy you said you'd attack has died) then you'll do nothing but go on full defence.

Re: How do we do this?
I think either full defence (-4 attack and +2 AC IIRC) OR subdual towards closest enemy at ST discretion could both be good. I'll accept whichever is easier for you James.

Re: How do we do this?
Because if it is a withdrawn action then I would suggest the passifism is due to inability to deside if you want to really kill or not. That indecision would usually (in my experience) end with trying to subdue rather than break.

Also it's not a campaign where Evil is allowed, thus moral dilemmas drift off towards not killing. That might just be my values thougu

Re: How do we do this?
Eh, not sure I agree but either way I think subdual would lead to problems down the line in my bookkeeping. It's full defence.
